I used to see this all the time. Put one girl into a lab full of Animation Geeks - and they all check out her hardware....and I really am referring to the computer...

So many girls have really been responding to this pic...which I am both proud of, and yet - horrified. Now that I run the night shift at 2D animation lab....I see it even more than when I was a student....scary.

Those guys are my friends. -Everything from RPG gamers to HTML (or PHP - of course) nerds. I find that we have common interests, and it does not scare me at all.

Gotta love the Art Schools/Industries.

Love the "possible annoyed look" on the girl while she's working and the overly excited look on the geek hovering over her to watch. Ah~ Accurate to a T.

This is hilarious - I'm a female CS major and art minor and I see this all the frickin' time. Except usually it's my sketchbook rather than my computer since they all have similar machines, but pencil and paper is a mind-boggling concept to them.

I once over saw a girl explain the "multi-page turn function" that brought to life a martian eating an astronaut to computer geek. It took him five minutes to realizes that it was a flip book.

And the best by far is when you see guys in life drawing class thumbing for "command z".

Course, the real hilarity is when you go to job fairs and see geek guys hiring the cute girls for the studios. A good portfolio will open doors - but the right shade of lipstick gets you the corner office.

I saw it all the time at school. These guys would have geek-wars with themselves. Very devastating to their already shattered self-esteems, BUT fun to watch!
